This highly interactive workshop will give participants new insights into the business applications of open data and private sector value opportunities in key sectors, supported by three real-world cases from LATAM and Kenya that demonstrate different business models and offer lessons for engaging with the private sector through public-private collaboration.

The session is co-organised by the Iniciativa Latinoamericana por los Datos Abiertos (ILDA), and the Center for Open Data Enterprise. Some of the cases we intend to review are part of a current work led by ILDA, with the support of Avinas Americas and the InterAmerican Development Bank (IADB)  that maps initiatives and organizations moving the open data and civic technology agenda further.
