This session explores what it takes to build open data teams in government, capable of leading the successful implementation of policies and overarching strategies. In the last decade, several governments have invested at a national and local level in the establishment of open data teams or open data task-forces. But what do they look like? Are they able to scale? We explore the challenges of setting up open data teams in Europe and Latin America, and their most promising projects and practices, to distill lessons on what works and what doesn’t.
