Data for the people: How to make complex data accessible through visualisation and data-literacy training?
 In the first part of this session Michael from “Golda Strategies” will review case studies of translating complex policy and data into infographics accessible to low-literacy communities in Liberia, Ghana. In the second part, Mary from The Public Knowledge Workshop will discuss data literacy programmes for journalists and CSOs conducted in Ukraine and Israel. The session will cover case studies, methodological insights and best practices on how to develop similar tools. It will address budget and spending data, extractive industry transparency, along with new information dissemination methods.
