Claudia Lopes is a Data Science and Social Change Consultant. She has 10 years of experience working in academia and partnering with international development organisations, mainly in East Africa and Latin America. She is interested in methods to analyse large volumes of citizen-generated data – including radio and social media data – and its value to shape, monitor and evaluate sustainable development goals. She is currently working with Girl Effect and UN Women exploring the potential of big data to inform and evaluate programmes related to gender equality.
